We are going to disney in mid-may with a party of 8, we would like to stay in one of the moderate disney resorts. It looks like the the value resorts cater to the younger crowd. The teen girls like the looks of the coronado springs resort. Does anyone have any suggestions? We will have to have 2 rooms. What is the cheapest way to go?

Coronado Springs is a good one, but more adult oriented due to the convention center.
I personally like Port Orleans, and can recommend either Riverside or French Quarter. The Riverside section has the prettiest grounds and more activities, but the French Quarter has the best pool.

That is what i thought from reading all the reviews. Thanks for the advise. I am going to try to talk them into looking at the French Quarters or what about Pop Century?
Our family has visited 3 times, staying at different properties. In the moderate category, my top pick would be the Caribbean Beach. Excellent bus service (believe me this is important!) with multiple stops around the complex, close enough to everything to be convenient but far enough away to be able to get some sleep at night. The island in the centre of the property that contains Old Port Royale is great -- you%26#39;ll find a mini food court which includes a fresh bakery, a pizza place, a vegetarian/salad place, burgers and fries and a full service sit-down restaurant. Our teens loved the mouse boats and the travelways connecting through 3 different lakes made the fun last just that much longer. The only down side is that the moderate hotels come with just double beds -- a little squishy for 2 adults!
With a party of 8 and the need to get 2 rooms, perhaps you might want to consider staying in one of Disney%26#39;s vacation club villa properties. Have just done the cost comparison myself and found the 2-bedroom villas to be only slightly more expensive than 2 separate hotel rooms but offer considerably more benefits (larger rooms, full kitchen, washer/dryer, separate bathrooms). Just a thought.
Pop Century is a value resort and you%26#39;ll have more ';families with small children'; there. Don%26#39;t get me wrong, it is a very nice value resort, but it does have less amenities.
If you can go with one of the moderates based on cost, definitely look at one of them instead of Pop. The two sinks in a room alone is almost worth the extra money, not to mention the resort amenities. Pools at moderates have water slides and sometime spas, while neither are found at value resorts.
I%26#39;d skip on the Pop for teens carter. Even though the Port Orleans if my favorite moderate resort I%26#39;m wondering if the Coronado would be a better choice for your teens. They also offer suites to accomdodate 6 people. But then again the P.O. is a quick boat ride away to Downtown Disney which if they%26#39;re interested in being close to some shopping!
My brother and family (2 teenagers) went to Carribean and thoroughly enjoyed it. I prefer POR but it%26#39;s all down to personal preferences. FQ is the smallest but not sure the grounds would be as appealing as the other 3 moderates.
Location is also worth mentioning - I think Coronado is a fair distance from MK; Carib is closest to Epcot; PO is a handy boat ride to DTD.
