My husband and I are looking for a romantic getaway to one of the following: Sanibel, Marco, or Captive Island. We need to vacation at the end of June (not ideal but only available time for us). We want to find a hotel or condo that allows us to leave our room and walk right onto the beach. Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated. Surfing the net has left us overwhelmed!

South Seas Resort on Captiva in the Beach Villas - expensive
Jensen%26#39;s has luxe units but no pool. on the beach
Captiva SUnset - houses 1-8 are beach front and there is a communit pool
Ocean%26#39;s Reach Condos - and MANY others on Sanibel [not a resort, a condo] is on the beach and has 1 bedroom units; so does SUndial, a more resort like place
Many cottages that are on the beach - modest usually. See Gulf Breeze, Beachview, Forty Fifteen
Marriott Marco Island - I%26#39;ve seen photos of the new pool and it loks way better than anything on Sanibel or Captiva, but I happen to like those islands better. They just don%26#39;t offer anything like the Marriott.

For romantic, not enough space here to sing the praises of the Marco Island Marriott. June is off season and you can have all the privacy (beach and otherwise) that you want. Check out their website and the virtual tour. I%26#39;m not sure what the rates are in June, but it is worth every penny. We%26#39;ve gone there for years and have never been fortunate enough to get there without children. Every trip my husband and I add to our ';if we ever manage to get here without children'; list of things to do. It%26#39;s the only beach resort we%26#39;ve been to (and we%26#39;ve been to many all over the country) that%26#39;s actually better in person than on their web site. One look at that gorgeous white sand beach and you%26#39;ll never want to leave. Good luck and enjoy!
