Hotel help

Ok, I%26#39;ve narrowed our search in hotels to The Palm Bay Club, Tropical Shores, or Tropical Breeze. Can anyone help me decide? It has to be clean, nice pools, walking distance to restraurants and shopping. We have three kids (9, 13, and 17). Which would you choose and why? We%26#39;ll be looking around the end of June early July time frame.

The Palm Bay Club is a condo, not a hotel. Very nice place to stay.

Not all units are the same.

Tropical Shores is small, by the beach and walking distance to shops. It has 1 pool but is by Crescent Beach which is the best.

Tropical Breeze is close to Siesta Village, Some rooms are by the beach and others are further away. It is by Siesta Beach.

The June/July time frame is off season, so you will get better rates.

What do you visualize??

Have you looked at the websites?

All 3 are different.

All are clean.

Well, I think we%26#39;d probably like something that%26#39;s fairly large, clean, and that will be fun the kids. We%26#39;re used to staying at resort hotels, so this is new to us as far as staying at a condo. But I think we%26#39;ll like the idea of having a lot of room too. Definitely has to have a nice pool, kid friendly, and on the beach. Maid service would be nice, but not necessary. A tiki bar would also be nice if we wanted to get a drink by the pool, but again not necessary. If there is another place to stay that might be better than the three I mentioned?

The Palm Bay Club is a very nice place to stay. There are accomodations on the Beachside (Gulf) and the Bayside.

There are Suites etc. for families. Go to www.palmbayclub.com to see all units, the grounds and other info. This is a fairly large complex.

Having said that, it is a condo. I am not sure about maid service and there aren%26#39;t any bars on the property. Siesta Village is to the north and other shops are south.

If you want a full service resort property, you might to look at the Lido Beach Resort on Lido Key or the Longboat Key Club Resort on Longboat Key.

You are in luck. I stayed at the Tropical Shores in 2000. I don%26#39;t know if things have changed there but at the time, it was a really nice place. The property can be best described as a cute small motel. The motel is on a circle so there is no through traffic. The circle is U shaped. There are a couple of other small motel style places on the same circle such as the Sara Sea. The circle and the motels on it can be best described as Old Florida. The area is nicely landscaped and there are plenty of palm trees. All the motels look cute.

There is one pool on this circle and it is shared by all the motels on the circle. The pool is medium sized and attractive. Palm trees circle the pool. We went there in May so the area wasn%26#39;t crowded and there weren%26#39;t a lot of people in the pool.

The private beach is about 100 yards from Tropical Shores and this part of the beach is fantastic. Lots of room to find a spot all to yourself.
