Longboat Key Club Resort

Hi. We%26#39;ll be staying at the Longboat Key Club Resort and have a group of four parties -- extended family. Would like to request the nicest digs there. Are all four of the buildings equally good? Can anyone say whether the return visitors there request a specific building. Any tips would be appreciated.

Also interestedin the best restaurants on the Key.

Longboat Key Club Resort

There are many types of accomodations at the LBKC

. I had a Jr. Suite which overlooked gardens. Last August some of the buildings with a gulfview were being remodeled. Go to their website for more info regarding sizes and views.

For dining:

Euphemia Haye- expensive and tables are close together. But highly rated.

Pattigeorges- nice marina view dining

Drydock WaterfrontGrill- casual with good seafood

Mattison%26#39;s Steakhouse- upscal steak seafood

Harrys Continental Kitchen

Beach Bistro- Holmes Beach highly rated

Cafe on the Bay

and more on the Mainland and St. Armands Circle..

Longboat Key Club Resort

This is simply to add a ';Ditto'; to SRQgirl%26#39;s list of restaurants on Longboat. I might move Harry%26#39;s up a bit higher on her list (they have some creative cuisine and a great wine list, also a take-out service where you could eat back at your placeat the LBK Club one night if you want to). Cafe by the Bay used to be ';by the bay'; with a nice view of a marina, but they recently moved further north on the island; I%26#39;m not sure what it is like now.
