BEST Disney resort for 4 yr old, best pool

We are planning a Disney trip last week in April, 1st week in May. We have no idea where we are going to stay, but I want to make sure they have a fun kids pool for a 4 yr old, zero depth, slide, etc.

I%26#39;m hoping to stay in the value / moderate resort range. I%26#39;d rather not spend the money for the deluxe if possible.

Also, we will not have a car so easy transportation to the parks would be nice too.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If you%26#39;re actually staying on Disney property, of course there is free bus transportation to the parks. As far as which Disney resorts are the most convenient for the Disney transportation, others can weigh in on that. None of the value or moderate resorts are within realistic walking distance to the theme parks (that I know of, anyway); only the deluxe resorts are, for the most part, or have direct access to the monorail.

The Dolphin and Swan hotels are not official Disney hotels (Starwood runs them), but are close to Epcot.

The consensus on the forum has been that the best Disney moderate resort is Port Orleans Riverside, and the least favorite moderate is Coronado Springs.

None of the value resorts hane slides or zero depth pools. They have a separate wading pool, %26amp; no hot tub!!! :(

Potato is correct, I believe. There are no ';value'; resorts with pool slides or zero-entry at the pools.

You%26#39;ll have to upgrade to at least a ';moderate'; Disney resort to get the pool slide.

You%26#39;ll have to upgrade to a ';deluxe'; to get a hot tub or zero-entry pool.

It%26#39;s probably also worth mentioning that if you are staying at POFQ or POR, you can share both pools if you want. Probably a 20 minute walk from one to the other, if you want a bit of variety. The FQ pool is more colourful; the POR pool is more ';Ol Man River'; themed.

And not all the deluxe hotels have the zero entry pool-the Boardwalk does not. Consider the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The pool is terrific and has several hot tubs and a zero entry. There%26#39;s the animals to look at-you don%26#39;t have to spring for a savannah view, you can see animals from lots of places. Its a gorgeous hotel with one of the nicest staffs at Disney. there%26#39;s lots of off property places that might better suit your needs, the Marriott World Center, the Hyatt, depends on how much you want to spend.

PPS - there%26#39;s certainly a hot tub at POR, near the large pool. Also, if you are worried about safety, there are always plenty of MouseGuards on duty and they are very good. Watch them, they are a bit like the Secret Service, they are always scanning...
