Any suggestions for swimming with dolphins not just seeing them from the boat or finding them while snorkeling. I%26#39;ll be in key west in February and have always wanted to do this but I want to be able to touch them.

Islemorada, Theatre by the Sea offers this but its quiet a drive from KW.

In Marathon, one hour from Key West, you will find the Dolphin Research Center. It is an excellent place to swim with dolphins. You need to make a reservation way ahead for dolphin swims. Check their website : www.dolphins.org

About the DRC. We tried to do the reservation thing and I could never get through on the phone. My husband was just heartbroken as this was one of his things to do before he dies, you know? We always go during off season, it was in July and we decided to drive up there and try. We walked in and he signed right up for the dolphin swim. He had a ball and the pic they took is the wallpaper on my computer here at work. His group had two dolphins in the water with them, Tina and her son, Tanner (aka Squirt), so they all got the push through the water with a dolphin at each foot. I imagine they%26#39;ll be busier in Feb. but you never know. Even if you don%26#39;t get reservations and decide to just go, there%26#39;s lots of other worthwhile things to see and do there.

Just wanted to thank everyone who gave me feedback. I will definately check into the suggestions.

If all else fails try Hawk Cay%26#39;s Resort. Its not really a swim with dolphins, but you are in the water with them and can touch them none the less. If I remeber right the program last a little over an hour or so.
