I think it was closed back in Nov when I was in town with the same sign. Still have yet to see any renovation going on there yet!

Big Daddy Conchs was open in Nov. They had a huge talegate party for the Ohio State vs Michigan game. Too bad their closed now was hoping to watch the game there this year.

Was this the bar across from Sloppy Joes that would have a boxing ring set up in it?

Big Daddy Conch%26#39;s is closed for good. We really could not recover after our first Summer and four hurricane evacuations with the last one being Wilma. We decided to throw in the towel over Thanksgiving weekend (2006), and I don%26#39;t know why someone put the ';closed for renovation'; sign up. All of our reviews were from REAL customers. Those that were able to recover from the absence of the $1.99 oysters had a wonderful authentic experience. I still can%26#39;t make a mojito as delicious as the one our bartenders made.

boilermaker2 So sorry to hear that news. It%26#39;s hard enough trying to make it the 1st year in a new business let alone having to contend with evacuations.
