We are planning a move to the Keys from where we currently live in FL, and have a grandparent offer to babysit the kids for next weekend so we can go meet with our realtor and see some more houses. I%26#39;m searching for a decent, reasonable place to stay for next weekend. We normally take our RV and stay at Sunshine Key (BPK) but need to find a hotel this time. Most of our househunting will take place between MM 15 and 23, but our realtor is at MM1...so anywhere between Old Town and Sugarloaf Lodge would probably be good. Any suggestions? Most everything I am finding online is booked!
Thanks,
Diana

You can check www.keywestinns.com It%26#39;s the most expensive time of the year and a weekend, so anything under 200 a night is going to be a bargain. It looks like the Bottle Inn, Westwinds, and Wicker Guest House has rooms and they do have rooms under 200. I%26#39;m sure there are other places that aren%26#39;t B%26amp;Bs, that may be cheaper, but the weekends are busy and expensive. Hope you find something!!

Find a place within your house hunting area instead of Key West... Less expensive. Make the real estate person work for thier commission while you save on gas $$. (Lowest gas price on Key West right now is $2.46 / gal)
I assume you have a %26#39;buyer%26#39;s agent%26#39; with a contract as opposed to an agent found in the paper etc. (A buyer%26#39;s agent works for YOU otherwise, a real estate agent that you%26#39;ve found who will show you places works for the SELLER. Thier primary responsibility is to those selling a home, not you. Obviously, thier commission is tied to the price of the house they sell (or help to sell if listed by another agent) so it%26#39;s in THIER best interest and that of the seller to get the highest price they can.)
-Just think%26#39;in
If you are talking about this weekend the 26th their is a fishing tournament in town that has everything booked. Also at this time of year is season. You might have to try further north from Key West to find something available.
