Im coming down this weekend. I know about the Landing. Is there other areas in Jax that offer a good nightlife? Ive heard atlantic BLVD but dont know much about it. Any info would be great
what area should i stay inWhat age group would you like? And what kind of nightlife?
what area should i stay inMy personal choice would be to stay in the downtown area. Crowne Plaza usually has good deals. The Landing has a lot of new nightlife that has sprung up over the past year. Twisted Martini, Deep Blue, and Club Paris. Marks, Dive Bar, TSI, and the Pearl are all a close walk on Bay St. and Main St.
The Beach offers a good nightlife. Where Atlantic Blvd. dead ends at the beach, there is the ';Beaches Town Center'; ...Ragtime, Sun Dog, and Lemon Bar, Petes, Ocean 60, and Caribe Key are all right there. Where Beach Blvd dead ends to the beach, there is The Atlantic, Ocean Club, Brix, and a few other taverns and pubs.
Those are two of the main spots for nightlife.
Have a good time and be safe!
Hey Dan,
You%26#39;ve already gotten some good advice. I think you might enjoy staying at the beach. Depends on what you like and what you consider a %26#39;good nightlife%26#39;.
It%26#39;s a bit chilly here now, so you probably shouldn%26#39;t expect to lay out in the sun on the beach, but things change around here pretty quickly.
I%26#39;ll check later and see if you%26#39;ve posted a little more info about what you like to do. I%26#39;m assuming that you%26#39;re headed here tomorrow (Friday).
Welcome to Jax, and welcome to the forum!
Vicki
Thanks for the responses. IM mid 30s so Im looking for late 20s to 40s. I also would prefer a place that isnt so touristy. Also, any suggestions on hotels by the beach?
How much further is the beach from the landing. Im coming from NC on 95
Jacksonville%26#39;s beaches are about 20-30 minutes east of downtown. I would go for the Sea Turtle Inn if you%26#39;re staying at the beach. Ragtime, Sun Dog, The Ritz, Lemon Bar, and Pete%26#39;s are all within walking distance, and all are the age group you mentioned.
Take a look at the posts on the Jacksonville Beach forum:
