Our family Me, hubby kids 12, 16 oldest son 22 and GF 20 visiting Orlando April 18-23. We would like to stay near Universal my question would you recommend a hotel with inexpensive rooms that we might be able to get 2 rooms or a hotel that would accomodate all of us with some amout of privacy for us adults. Also since our time is limited I would like opinions on most bang for our buck- must do%26#39;s and places to see. We are coming from Colorado so the beach is a must. Thanks in advance for the help.
Oops almost forgot any help with best place to rent a minivan or bigger vehicle would be appreciated too.
Help choosing hotel and trip ideas for family of 6
before you leave home make reservations for discovery cove....it is a little pricey but worth every mile it took for you to travel to orlando!!! it would be the only reason i would ever visit that area again on a leisure vacation...my family did not want to leave the grounds of discovery cove....it is like you are on a tropical island!!!!
check out the website for this attraction for more info....good luck in finding a hotel in that area....they are all left to chance....the hard rock is very nice but very very expensive....
Help choosing hotel and trip ideas for family of 6Somebody on vacation rentals by owners has a great price on his 3 BR and 2BA condo at the new Floridays resort. Would give you the privacy and comfort you are seeking with an adult group. Close to Disney and Seaworld.

No...it is definitely not mine, but I love a good deal and enjoy passing them on to others when I find them.
Thanks for the advice, I tried the vacation rental and it is already booked for our dates. I have also noted Discovery cove as it looks amazing. I would love more suggestions if anyone has more.
Another option would be to try the Floridays Resort directly:

I believe they are running some special rates. A 3BR / 2BA condo for $179 or so a night and all the comforts of home would surely beat 2 hotel rooms and it is a very nice new resort.
Another possibility is the new Vista Cay Resort. You can try them directly also or go to ';Google'; and put in the search words ';Vista Cay Condo Rental';. Also 3BR and 2BA and the couple I looked at were renting for even less than Floridays. I think they run some nice specials when the complexes are new in order to generate interest and business.
I am going in the beginging of February with 3 kids too. I found a website hotelkingdom.com. They contract with timeshare hotels - bigger and multiple rooms. We just got a 4* with 2 bedrooms and 2 ba full kitchen, lr for a very low rate of $135 a night.
Good luck!
If your looking for inexpensive the best deals are going to be villas, 3 bedrooms 2 baths with pool go for around $89 a night , sometimes cheaper when their are having specials. THey are going to be about a 20 minute ride from Universal.
Out of curiosity, I did a little searching on Vista Cay. An owner%26#39;s website is at www.vistacayrent.com
I noticed that many owners also have their units listed on www.vrbo.com and www.rentors.org
Good Luck with your search!
