I don%26#39;t know if this varies state to state but does anyone know a rough date of when schools will break up for summer holidays in America.

I know for the UK it%26#39;s end of July?

in Massachusetts it is mid-late June depending on how many snow days they have.

Our schools break June 1st this year and will return to school August 23rd.

And to let you know June through the first week of September is very crowded because of the varying dates.

Basically, all schools in the U.S. have differing times when they break and go back. However, it%26#39;s a general ';rule of thumb'; that the summer break time goes anywhere from Memorial Day (last weekend of May) to Labor Day (first weekend of September).

If schools get out in May, they typically go back in early August and it%26#39;s staggered throughout the above timeframe.

Safe to say from late June until mid-August is the time when nearly all schools are out.

Orange county gets out May 22 and then goes back for next school year Aug 20. We used to go back first week of Aug but most of Florida is transitioning to closer to Labor Day. We%26#39;ll have an exceptionally long summer break because of the schedule change.
