Airboat tour or other fun

We%26#39;re heading to Marco Island this Friday. My husband and I are interested in boat tour through the everglads.

We have Saturday free and want to experience a little bit of the area.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Also, does Porky%26#39;s Last Stand serve food? I%26#39;m sure it%26#39;s a tourist trip, but it sounds fun.

Any suggestions on things to do or dining are much appreciated. It will probably be the only time in our life we make it to Marco Island..we%26#39;re very excited!

There are many airboat ride option in the Everglades, but the best of them seem to center around Everglades City. Everglades City is about a 30 minute drive from Marco. Wootens

They have a zoo and also a landbased tours. They boats they are user are huge.

Porky%26#39;s - The restaurant side serves good food in a family atmosphere. There specialty is BBQ, but they have many things on their menu. The bar side has some of the best nightly entertainment on the Island....... Be sure to catch the Jezebels, an all female rock band playing 60s and later music, every Friday night.

Jen... Everg;lade City.. we%26#39;ve ';done'; a air boat ride twice down there... always on a small 6 seater boat tho.. it goes much faster and is great fun.. there%26#39;s also a reptile ';farm';,,,,if you like snakes and alligators...

From the beach infront of the Hilton Hotel ( I dont think you have to be a resident of the hotel) you can also pick up a wave runner safari into the everglades... my husband / daughter - did it years ago - are planning to do it again on this years trip!!

Drinking age is 21 and I would expect that you have to be of drinking age to be in the bar. However, I have seen families at tables along the dance floor, so it looks to me like children are allowed if accompanied by parents. That is just what I%26#39;ve seen. I don%26#39;t know what Florida law allows.

I called Porky%26#39;s and here%26#39;s what I got.

Families are allowed in bar section. After 10PM, you must be 21 to enter the bar.

sorry i meant to add that this would be something different for us to do in the evenings... I always think Biminis is good for a little entertainment.. it can get boring for a 16 yr old out with her parents eating each evening.....!! So thanks again
