Bade on reviews, I wanted to look into this hotel. They don%26#39;t seem to have a website and no phone number listed on tripadvisor. Does anyone have more information, please
St Tropez Resort
All I can find are an e-mail SttropezresortFL@aol.com or phone 954-564-8468.
Hope that helps!
St Tropez Resort
strawberryfield - I was actually wanting to look into this hotel for the exact same reason. I found their internet site. Address is ';thesttropezresort.com'; - however, rates until end of high season start at $127. I just made reservations in April for an efficiency with a beach front balcony at $150 per night. A little more than I wanted to spend, but I think it%26#39;s worth it. The owner, Jerri, is super nice and very informative.
I hope you%26#39;ll each write a review. From the outside , the property doesn%26#39;t look as impressive as the reviews make it out- but I would like to be wrong because we need some reasonable choices along the beach- so I know both of you are real folks and not ';planted '; reviewers and will value your opinions.
It is right across from the beach, but directly next door to a run down Howard Johnson%26#39;s that is closed and I think soon to be demolished. If you like Thai Food, the wonderful Thai on the Beach is an easy walk from you.
Lulutoo -- definately not a ';planted'; reviewer. And I probably will write a review when we return. I will also be sure to take pics for posting. That is the only thing I haven%26#39;t been able to find. Their internet site doesn%26#39;t have a descriptive photo section of their rooms.
I have to say that so far, I am very pleased with my experience. When I initially called, I got an answering machine. I left my info, and within 45 mins. I got a callback from the same guy that was on the answering machine. He spent a good 15 mins on the phone with me answering all my questions about the hotel rooms, rates, surrounding area, las olas, beach place, transportation, etc. He was great, and he was also very honest about the hotel not being a 5 star resort.
Lulutoo -- I forgot to ask you about small little ocean front bars in the immediate area of St. Tropez. Know of any? We%26#39;re not looking for the club scene. Just somewhere close that we can relax in the evening with a cocktail and maybe grab a bite to eat.
If you walk north on A1A toward Sunrise Blvd., you will come to a side street just south of the Holiday Inn called Sunrise Lane. There is a bar/restaurant called Cafe Bluefish that has good drink specials, a full menu and frequently some sort of live music. There is also a pub caled McSorley%26#39;s right along A1A as you get to that area. I must confess I have never gone in, but it has been there a while and looks to be friendly. You will walk along a fenced area that looks liek alarge park to get there- it is actually the grounds of the Bonnet House Museum- an old home with gorgeous grounds and lots of local history. It was used as the shooting locale for the final episode of the Amazing Race series that involved Rob aand Amber. Both it and the Birch State Park across Sunrise Blvd. are home to a gang( flock? posse?) of monkeys which very occasionally are spotted in the trees the area. Just thought you%26#39;d want to know. I haven%26#39;t seen one in years. The bar at the Yankee Trader and the Atlantic to the south are possibilities too, but I%26#39;d personally head north.
Right near Cafe Bluefish is a old dive bar/hangout called the Parrot- also fun if you%26#39;re in that mood- serves food also.
briezer 19 and lulutoo,
thank you very much for your help. I will most definately write a review. We will be coming to Fort Lauderdale the last week in April.
strawberryfield - hey no problem. We are going to be there in the middle of April.
