swimming with the dolphins

Staying in Marathon and am interested in swimming with the dolphins. Have viewed Dolphin Cove in Key Largo, Theater of the Sea in Islamorada and Dolphin Research in Marathon. Anyone have any input into the better one, if there is one better than the other? Probably will do the structured swim.

Between Theater of the Sea and DRC, I would choose the DRC If you really want to learn about dolphins. If you want more of an entertainment park then go to Theater of the Sea. We went twice to the DRC and did the ';dolphin splash';, ';play with the dolphin'; and the ';meet the dolphin'; activities. It was great. The staff is very professionnal and knowledgable about dolphins. The place is quiet and relaxing.

At the Theater, our girls did the ';meet the dolphin'; activity. They enjoyed it very much too. We have never done the swim program though. The Theater proposes dolphin show, sealion show and a parrot show as well as the special programs with dolphins or sealions. Prices are about the same in all the places.
