I am planning on going to gasparilla with about 7 friends between the ages of 21 and 26. Now, I looked at some websites and they make it seem like this is going to be a children%26#39;s event. Are we too old for this? Will drinking be allowed? Thanks!

Yep, there%26#39;s a kids parade and an adult parade on different weekends. Not sure about the drinking during the parade or in public.
There will be plenty of adult fun on the 27th, the childrens parade was last weekend. They will be selling beer along the parade route, but you can bring alcohol, no glass bottles(actually, the law states that it is illegal to have an open container, but with 700,000 plus, they cops are looking for out of control drunks), so with that note, drink up, and party down this saturday, this is my 19th gasparilla, it%26#39;s a blast!!!
