For anyone who has stayed at the Gardens Hotel, which room location is better, courtyard or garden?

Last year we had a ground floor room (14) which was next to the courtyard. (Someone we met this year had a Garden room and it was slightly smaller although staff apparently told them that rooms on the property only vary in size by 3ft). Our room was lovely and pretty spacious with a large shared verandah with a table and 2 comfy wicker chairs for your own use. Small sofa, plasma screen tv and fridge in room - great air con. Would recommend however that you request an upstairs room as with wooden floors we could hear the people above until the early hours!

This year we had %26#39;Carriage House Front%26#39; which is a larger room over the bar with vaulted ceiling and totally private balcony overlooking the pool - an additional $40 per night I think but we thought it was worth it for private outside space. Depends how much time you plan on being on site or in your room.

Have stayed in an upper Courtyard twice rms 16+17, well worth it ,nice view of the property from the balcony, a bit more private and no noise from people walking on the wood floors above. I%26#39;ll be back in May!!
