Don%26#39;t know if this is much help as it%26#39;s not I-Drive/Kissimmee area but here goes.

Next May we are renting a villa in kissimmee (Formosa Gardens) and then traveling down to Clearwater Beach(just under 100 miles away), which is an easy drive. We will then be getting married on the beach at Sand Key Park, Clearwater Beach, at sunset. We are using a package that includes officiant, simple decorations of flowers for aisle and arch on beach, photographer (including 36 prints and cd) plus a few extras like chest for rings etc. The bill has come to approx 拢600.

We will then be having the reception at Bob Heilmann%26#39;s Beachcomber which should be under 拢500 including 3 courses and alcoholic beverages (this is for 20 people), tax and tips.

Then it will be one night at the Hilton at Clearwater Beach and after a relaxing day in Clearwater we will return to our villa and the parks etc.

There is a website available here in the states that is an invaluable resource for people getting married.

www.theknot.com

All you have to do is plug in the are you will be and there are message boards and information galore.

Also not Orlando, but if you%26#39;re going to look into Clearwater Beach, check out the floating chapel. It%26#39;s definately different...

Hey MarkBee, I don%26#39;t know about in the US but in the UK it%26#39;s traditional for the bride to be late. Does this mean she would have to row a dingy across to this floating chapel??

that was pretty funny (from u.k.)

there are so many places to get married... do you want beach, church, resort, ? maybe narrow it down to the type of wedding would be easier. you have the kissemmee area down, so figure out the style of your wedding and you will be able to choose a place easier.

let us know what you came up with!!!

a chaple or old house would be good but not sure, but dont want a beach wedding. I am looking for something different to the normal weddings abroad. help

I can think of few places less romantic than I Drive or Kissimmee- too congested and touristy.

Would you consider taking a drive to Cypress Gardens? I haven%26#39;t been there in some time, but it has gorgeous gardens and ladies dressed in Southern style Scarlett O%26#39;Hara dresses. beautiful place- don%26#39;t know what there rules, procedures and costs are for weddings, but here is the website:

My info on it may be outdated and I%26#39;m not sure about the driving distance- but very romantic for sure! Maybe a local can help out here!

Wedding in Florida. We got married April (Easter) this year and used the website below.

Everything went super smooth and had a superb day. 100% recommended. Very professional and nothing too much trouble.

We went to ST Petes beach for our Honeymoon and saw a few beach weddings but were less than impressed.

There is a historic house in Cocoa, Florida, East coast but not on the beach. It%26#39;s 2 story. You can rent the whole house for the wedding %26amp; reception if you want. It%26#39;s called Porcher House. Go to www.cocoafl.org and at that site go to attractions, you will see porcher house on the list. Some friends of ours got married there. It was very beautiful. They stood at the top of the stairs, their families stood around the balconies upstairs and the rest of the guest s stood downstairs. This was just for the ceremony. They had a dj %26amp; catered food in the dining room.

Another suggestion is Cypress Gardens. I think you can have weddings there.

Have a look at this site they have a range of ideas
