Is everything open and running in January?

Hi Everyone,

We are hoping to come over in Jan 2008 but I am concerned as to whether all the attractions etc will be open and what the weather will be like?

Many thanks

Is everything open and running in January?

This time of year is normally when some refurb work is carried out. This normally mean a ride here, an attraction there. But the only total park closure is normally one of the Disney waterparks for refurbishment.

The weather can historically vary from what it is now (little less than 50 deg!) to around 80 deg depending on fronts etc. If you were looking for an average daytime temp, I%26#39;%26#39;d guess mid 60 to low 70.

Evenings are noticeably cool so take extra layers for then. I%26#39;m sure one of the locals will be able to give more accurate advice once they awaken.

The advice on the layers is right because it can be 40 that night or early morning %26amp; by noon back up to 70 or 80. Temps flucuate a lot in Florida. We are having a little cold spell right now so it%26#39;s been cold for 2 days. Before that we were sweating at 80 degrees. It%26#39;s the price we pay for not having snow to deal with. We have also been having a little rain so those disposable rain poncho%26#39;s you can fit in your pocket are a good thing to have at parks.

Iv been in january and its very quiet so no ques and as for everything uo and running id say a couple of rides will be closed just do get done up for peak season. it wont be many. It can get chilly day and night so take a cardy!

Disney%26#39;s Blizard Beach water park is closed till Jan 8th and then it opens again and Typhoon Lagoon closes till sometime in March (cant remember the exact date)

and you might get some minor work going on in the other parks but it shouldnt be much ... we have been at this time of year twice before with no problems ..

have a great time!

We always go in Jan. or Feb. The lower crowds are worth the possibility of some closures %26amp; cooler temps. Keep in mind that we%26#39;ve had warmer temp. in Jan. than we did first week in March, so the whole winter is kind of a gamble weather-wise. The low crowds will spoil you! Hotels are cheaper too!
