no name pub

anyone got directions for the no name pub on big pine ?

no name pub

I%26#39;ve got them

no name pub

Coming from Miami:

Cross onto Big Pine Key and drive (slowly) through the %26#39;Key Deer; preserve. The road will then curve to the right. There%26#39;s a signal light and a small sign on the left that directs you to No Name Key. Turn right. Go straight til you hit the stop sign. Turn left and follow the road around the curve to the right. Stay on this road. You%26#39;ll go through some residential sections and cross a bridge onto No Name Key. Drive a short bit more and you%26#39;ll find the pub on your right hand side.

I%26#39;ve seen old photos on No Name Pub and it looked like it was out in the middle of a mangrove forest. Alas, how times change. Today, it sits in a residential area and has a sing that says, ';You Found It!';

It%26#39;s definately worth the time and side trip to peek in and grab some great food.

Dang! Again with the left/right thing.

It should read: You%26#39;ll find the pub on your LEFT hand side.

OOOOHH you wanted the directions. I thought you were taking a survey.

MY BAD

Sorry I%26#39;m just in a bad mood because its snowing here.

A word of advice. If you are planning to go to the No Name Pub during a normally busy time of the year, try and get there at an off time. If you get there during ';regular'; dining times, the wait can be tough. They do have pitchers of beer for sale that you can take outside if you would like.

Another FYI. They only sell beer and wine, so don%26#39;t be a touron like me and order a captain diet with a lime. . . ..

It%26#39;s become a little easier to find since they put up a few signs to No Name Key...but still a bit of a challenge. Just don%26#39;t drive fast or you%26#39;ll blow right by it.

thanks everyone for the info; i have noted it down in my little black book with all the other places of interest i have on my intinery; dont worry seabus about the deer; i ll be the motorist being honked at by the other motorists; i d be mortified if i hurt such a gorgeous creature. ( seen pics of them )

i did wonder if there would be signposts when i looked on my map and saw there was a place called no name key; nevermind a bit of local knowledge never goes amiss, after all we have lots of pubs called the Prince of Wales, but bu**er all of them are in Wales.

Enjoy the sights as you wind your way up that long road and be patient. Otherwise you%26#39;ll be like me and think you%26#39;ve missed the place. I was just about to give up and turn around when suddenly...there it was.
