Does anyone know of this lodging?
I am looking for a weeks lodging without paying high cost hotel fees as we%26#39;ll only be there for sleeping.
I wanted something close to Jax beach or the Navy base.
Any suggestions????
Surburban Extended Stay on St. Johns
Hi,
The Extended Stay on St. John%26#39;s Bluff would be a good half hour drive from the base at Mayport. That%26#39;s all I know about it.
-Comfort Inn is the closest hotel to the Mayport Naval Base. 2401 Mayport Road, Atlantic Beach. 1 (800) 437-5896 or (904) 249-0313. $79/night which includes the 13% tax. I haven鈥檛 been in this hotel.
-My choice would be to stay at the Sea Horse Oceanfont Inn. It%26#39;s a two story motel with a pool and very popular poolside bar right on the beach. All rooms have balconies facing the pool and ocean. It鈥榮 at the end of Atlantic Blvd at the ocean and is in Neptune Beach. Rates would be a bit over $100/night. Good restaurants within one block! Reserve as early as possible! (904) 246-2175, http://www.seahorseoceanfrontinn.com/
-For people who want to go cheap (like REAL cheap) there鈥檚 the Salt Air Motel, 425 Atlantic Blvd, Atlantic Beach. (904) 246-6465. This place was probably built around 1940 and I doubt it has ever been renovated or updated. The rooms are small and dark and have an old smell to them. The bathrooms are tiny (but at least they have them). The rooms are noisy because the motel is in the shape of a V and noise funnels in from Atlantic Blvd which is busy day and night. (Pack ear plugs.) You get what you pay for!
You%26#39;ll find real good restaurants at and near the corner of First Street and Atlantic Blvd in the Atlantic Beach/Neptune Beach.
Enjoy your stay!

There are very good restaurants at and near the corner of Atlantic Blvd and First Street in Atlantic Beach/Neptune Beach (Ragtime and Mezza Luna are my favorite ones there. Also try Shelby%26#39;s for coffee and light breakfast and lunch.)
Enjoy your stay.
Hi Lowes,
Welcome to the forum. I think Spirit gave you some excellent suggestions. I have stayed at the Comfort Inn and it%26#39;s a decent fairly medium-priced hotel. If you can afford the Sea Turtle, it%26#39;s most definitely a Jacksonville landmark, right on the ocean. Check with us right before you come so that we can tell you what our oh-so-changeable weather is doing. Or at least check a weather forecast before you come. If you have further questions, feel free to post again! One of us is always around to answer your questions. Hope you enjoy Jacksonville!
Vicki
