Places to Stay for 2weeks

We%26#39;re thinking of going to Daytona for 2 weeks the end of March, first of April. Would like a condo or something with a separate bedroom and oceanfront. Any good ideas.

Places to Stay for 2weeks

We stayed at Sun Viking Lodge in June. This is very nice place. It is oceanfront. They have separate rooms in their oceanfront building. Check out their website: www.sunviking.com

We had a sideview room. The staff was great. They are listed #1 on this website. This place is for families, couples....everyone. Their prices are very reasonable. I have pics on the hotel review (june 9). Check them out!

I would definitely take a trip to Daytona Beach. Is this your first trip or have you been there before? It was our first trip there and we had a blast! We want to go back next year!

Have you checked on vacationrentals.com or vrbo.com? This should get you started. You need to decide if you want to stay right in Daytona. I would check on those sites for condos in both Daytona and Daytona Beach Shores. Sun Viking is a hotel and is in Daytona Beach Shores. Some people will suggest Ocean Walk. It depends on if you want to be with lots of people in a large complex, or go with a smaller complex. We have rented for 5 summers from private owners found on either of these sites and have not been disappointed. Also this is spring break for many people, it may be crowded and the ocean is not very warm.

You are traveling during the busy spring break season.

Are you bringing children?

Do you prefer quiet or busy??

There are about 30 different locations to choose from in all price ranges.....do you have a wish list as far as location?

Thanks for the responses. Have decided to go for 1 week beginning 3/31 to 4/7. I thought spring break was a little earlier, but if its busy, that%26#39;s okay. The ocean walk looks to big for what we%26#39;d like to stay in. Is Daytona Beach Shores far from the main street where OceanWalk is? I%26#39;ve been there once before, years ago but don%26#39;t really remember any of the condos.

You can%26#39;t really tell where Daytona Beach and Daytona Beach shores begin and end other than a sign on the road. Daytona Beach shores is just a few minutes drive from Ocean Walk area. Daytona beach shores should be less crowded too.

Thanks for the info. Some of the nicer condos look like they are in DBS so will probably look there. If spring breakers are in Daytona, I assume they%26#39;ll be in main area.

Any ideas on other parts of FLA for a week?

There are also many nice condos in Ormond Beach which is just north of Daytona. Ormond, Daytona and Daytona Beach Shores, Ponce Inlet all run together. Check prices on Vrbo.com, floridavacations.com for your dates. We stayed at Seawinds in Ormond and that was a very nice condo building on the ocean. Be careful, some buidlings are across the street in Ormond by the Sea.

This past summer we stayed in Daytona Beach Shores and enjoyed our condo very much. Be aware also some areas of Daytona Beach Shores are a drive beach. No drive beaches are up in Ormond past a road called Granada and south of the pier in Daytona Beach shores about a1/2 mile is also no drive.

For another week, I would say maybe St. Augustine, Cocoa Beach, Orlando if you want to do the DIsney /Universal thing. or if you want to go to the Gulf maybe the Clearwater area. I prefer the Atlantic side. The farther south you go the warmer the ocean temps will be! There is always the keys, which would be a quite a drive and maybe not such a good idea for spring break season! But if you%26#39;ve never been, the keys are quite spectacular!

Now are you totally confused? Just ask if you have any other questions!
