Not knowing what your standards of exceptable are I will just give you my opinion.
We just attended a timeshare tour there last weekend (for Orlando residents) and received the free park passes for enduing their spiel. We only went for the park tickets and free movie %26amp; meal passes! But, it was interesting seeing what they are selling folks.
The place in general is in need of major updating. I didn%26#39;t care for the rowdy crowd of people either but I think everyone is just trying to have a good time.
As for timeshares they are far from %26#39;top of the line%26#39; with so many older bldgs they also have two new bldgs we saw that they are expanding and selling but it sounds like you will be staying in the older bldg. The location is pretty far out from any attractions with a good 8 -10 mile drive to anything that resembles fun.
If you already have paid I suppose it%26#39;s too late in which case just make the best of it and plan your day out in the attractions. If you have young children they will likely enjoy their pool and festivities around the pool but in Feb. may not spend much time out in the water anyway. But if you haven%26#39;t paid I%26#39;d opt for something else closer to attractions or newer. During that time of year you can get better deals on hotels too if you shop around.

Thanks for your input-Not interested in timeshare at all so hope we won%26#39;t be pestered by the sales people! We HAVE booked already-in hind sight should have checked this out 1st, but it does seem to have so many mixed reviews-Some say its excellent??
As far as being far out, that doesn%26#39;t bother us at all as we enjoy the driving in USA-its a novelty to us!!
We have been to Orlando many times now and stayed in various locations %26amp; accommodation, all of which have been great-Lets hope we are not too dissappointed this time!
hi salmalcolm,
if your worried that the accommodation may not be up to scratch, its worth going back to your travel agents to see if they can swop your resort for something else, after all your probably paying a lot of money for your holiday.I was thinking of booking liki Tiki for next sept, then I decided to spend a few hours trawling the major travel agents for a resort I felt was right for my family (and my pocket)I have just booked 2 weeks at the fountains resort not far from sea world with travelcitydirect,it is a brand new 2 bedroom resort and has loads of things on site, how many in your party? Its graded as a superior resort in their brochure,if its any help to you there are 2adults and 2 brats er I mean teens (17 )in our party ,flying from gatwick, upgraded seats,14 day disney ticketsx4,5 park universal flexiticket x4,intermediate car(vauxhall vectra type) plus all insurances for 拢4000 ,which is quite a good deal, its an awful feeling when you read a few negative reviews about the resort you have booked ,but as I said its worth checking to see if the option is there from your agent that you would be able to change if needs be. good luck hope you have a great holiday. truckerdave honk honk.
sorry the fountains resort is on the travelcitydirect website NOT
in their brochure.

If you look at most hotels on TA there are mixed reviews - some fantastic, some awful....
I almost changed from the Best Western Lakeside because of the reviews on here - but I was glad I didn%26#39;t - had a fantastic time...
