New Year - Where to party!

Hi, we%26#39;re two English guys looking for drinks, parties and women for New Year. We are flying over from London on 12/27/06 for one week. Where is best to party on New Years Eve? We also need a hotel as we%26#39;re staying in Clearwater in our holiday home.

Any chicks out there, feel free to join us!!!!

New Year - Where to party!

You posted on the Tampa forum so I am assuming you want to spend New Years Eve in Tampa. Recommend just doing Ybor (pronounced E-boar) City which is a short trolley or cab ride from downtown Tampa. Ybor is one big party, most of it is bars and nightclubs. The hotels in downtown Tampa are Marriott Waterside, Residence Inn, Hampton Inn, Hyatt downtown to name a few. Go to TBO.com for Tampa info.....there will be plenty of chicks in that part of town and you can always try the ';gentlemans clubs in the area';. Happy New Year :)

Ybor is what you%26#39;re describing.

Can i rain on the parade of Sav1979 and ask a similar question, but with the requirement that we are looking for family-oriented stuff for New Year? (sorry, the drinks/parties/etc is in our past, lol)

We are several australian families visiting Clearwater over New Year and have children ranging from 3 up to teenagers. any ideas on activities that might suit us all? or at least something that the family with young children can go to for a bit and then head back to the hotel?

thanks!

If you%26#39;re here in Pinellas County (Clearwater, St. Petersburg), the City of St Petersburg puts on a family friendly, no alcohol New Year%26#39;s Eve event. Here%26#39;s the link:

This page shoud explain most of the events planned and how to get your button. Personally, I%26#39;ve never been, but I%26#39;ve lived here for many years and this event draws quite a crowd and gets very good reviews.

Other than that, Busch Gardens %26amp; the FL Aquarium usually hold late hours for that night too. While Busch Gardens sells Budweiser beer products, it does tend to be a family type of event,

Hope that helps.

Ybor City seems to be the happening place for young people but it is not always the safest place, so beware. Remember you must be 21 to drink here.
