New rides??

Are there any new rides planned for the next year or so, in any of the Disney parks, or Universal?

Also Is there a website you can keep up to date with news of new rides?

We always check Theme Park Insider or the Orlando Sentinel pages sometimes have news.

There%26#39;s a new Finding Nemo ride going in at the Living Seas in Epcot which is schedule to open later this year, I believe.

There%26#39;s also going to be a new Finding Nemo show at Animal Kingdom next year in the theater where the old Tarzan Rocks show was held.

I%26#39;ve not heard of anything else on the immediate horizon.

we where in orlando in august and heard from a universal employee that they are tearing down the back to the future ride and replacing it with a simpsons based ride for late 2007 early 2008 its a pity because we go every year and always look forward to the back to the future ride

It was in the newspaper that Back to the Future will be a thing of the past in the near future. Nothing about ';tearing it down'; though. I expect they%26#39;ll do what they did with updating Jimmy Neutron from Hanna Barbera. They%26#39;ll just need to switch out the movie they show. It will most likely still be a simulated ride but I would think they%26#39;ll change the look of the future cars you sit in to something matching the new theme. Also in IOA they just opened the trolley ride in Seuss Landing. We%26#39;ve always wondered about the overhead track. It took some time but they finally got it running. It was a cute ride with a fast moving line. Fear Factor Live is also new, replacing the Wild West stunt show. I loved that stunt show. Unfortunately, they are temporarily using the Fear Factor space as a staging area for Halloween Horror Nights so there is no Fear Factor show for the time being.

There will be a new Monsters Inc attraction - think more of a show than a ride - at Magic Kingdom next year. It%26#39;s going to replace The Timekeeper in Futureworld. I think I read it%26#39;s going to be like a comedy club with...damn can%26#39;t remember his name...the green one with the big eye...

Yeah thats him! I have the DVD of Monsters Inc - really should have known that - love that film!

is that the old blue train there or is there supposed to be a really new ride?

many things what people from disney or universal say are nothing than roumors... :-/

a few years ago (like 6 or 7 years) someone from disney told me that they are planning to build 2 more countries in epcot...

suisse and russia...

but as we can see every year this was just fake :-))

Universal has not officially announced what will take the place of BTTF or when it will be completed. They have also not officially announced anything new at IOA although rumors have been running wild the last couple of years of something BIG. They did manage to get the Suess Trolley train open this year but it is not a major attraction. Haven%26#39;t heard much of any major new rides at the other parks. Disney had a big one this year with Expedition Everest and Soarin at Epcot last year but haven%26#39;t heard of anything else on the horizon as of yet. Stay tuned.

Universal is building a new onsite hotel with a greek theme. They may add to the IOA in that area I suspect.
