Best Disney Attractions for Seniors

My 64-year-old dad has finally agreed to join me for four days on our trip. He is not in the best of health so most rides are out. Can you suggest some ';must-see'; attractions for a first-timer / old-timer ( a little on the grumpy side lately)

Of course, all the shows in the parks should be fine for him and maybe even put a smile or two on his grumpy face now and then.

Epcot: don%26#39;t let him miss Soarin, as it%26#39;s an attraction which shouldn%26#39;t affect any part of his health. It%26#39;s the most relaxing and enjoyable 5 minute ride anywhere in the four disney parks (IMHO). The pavilions of World Showcase have many things he might enjoy, especially if he%26#39;s been to other countries in his youth.

Animal Kingdom: I think he%26#39;d be fine on the safari ride, although a little bumpy.

Magic Kingdom: there are many rides here he could probably do which are very tame. He might particularly enjoy Carousel of Progress which will remind him of his ';growing up'; days. Also, the newly refurbished Liberty Square Riverboat would be great for him along with the train.

MGM Studios: if he likes movies at all, be sure to take him on the Great Movie Ride (very tame and slow moving). Also, the back lot tour ride would be nice for him (just don%26#39;t sit on the left side of the vehicle if you don%26#39;t want to get a little wet).

Hope this will at least give you some ideas. As I said, the shows are awesome too.

Try to see all of the 3D and firework shows too.

Here are some attractions to definitely stay away from:

Magic Kingdom

Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse (lots and lots and lots of climbing)

Splash Mountain (big dip, wet!)

Epcot

Mission:Space (intense)

Test Track (fast)

MGM Studios

Rock N Roller Coaster (fast, upside down, etc)

Tower of Terror (up and down, up and down)

Animal Kingdom

Kali River Rapids (wet!)

Dinosaur (very bumpy, very dark)

Expedition Everest (really fast, lots of dips and climbs, backwards in the dark)

Avoid the Tea Cups

oh oh oh this is the topic for me...I brought my 76 yo grandmother and 61 yo cousin who rode...and when i say ride I mean ride...My granmother went on everything from Space Mountain to Big Thunder, to Dinosaur to Soarin%26#39; (twice)...we did all the shows at SeaWorld, we did all the 3d shows at MK, Epcot, AK, MGM, she got pictures taken with the characters, we did character breakfast and we are going again next year in August. She loved it. email me at frozensmoke99@hotmail.com.
