February in Orlando

Nobody seems to have gone in Feb?

Thinking of taking family (kids 9 %26amp; 7) start of Feb to 16/17, i.e. through half-term.

Has anyone been and was it worth it, as opposed to summer holidays.

I klnow its cheaper, but cheap isn%26#39;t always best.

Can anyone help?

February in Orlando

I love Orlando in February, the weather is in the 70%26#39;s with low humidity. The first week of February is the least crowded. The second week it starts to get more crowded and Presidents week it%26#39;s packed as the children are out of school.

February in Orlando

Oh and I would definitely choose February over the summer months!!!

Thx Healin,

our main worry was queing with the kids in summer heat/humidity, and we thought out of season would make it more enjoyable all round.

Your welcome Macasoma, I would take a holiday in Orlando in February over the summer months any day!!! It%26#39;s much cooler so make sure you pack warmer clothes for the nightime temperatures.

We regularly go in February.

Perfect temperatures at around 25 - 30 deg.C. Low humidity. Average wait times of 10 -20 mins on rides(although some can easily get up to 45 mins at peak times).

The only exception to this is Presidents Week (3rd Monday of the month). Treat this like a British Bank Holiday weekend.

went first week of Feb. this year so before Pres. holiday in US, warm enough for kids to swim but chilly at night. Wore a mix of shorts/pants. The BEST part is no lines (or minimal if you do a big ride in the afternoon) we got our money%26#39;s worth!

Hi Macasoma, we%26#39;re going in February, 8th-16th so should just miss the Presidents weekend rush as we leave on the Friday.

Apparently US schools are on holiday from 19thish, luckily our schools are the week before.

I%26#39;m spending a week at Disney in February, and have done for the last few years (well, sometimes January, sometimes February).

Bring clothes you can layer. It may be warm one day and cold the next. If it%26#39;s sunny, the days will be warm enough that you probably won%26#39;t need a jacket, but the temps drop off quickly after the sun sets to the low 60%26#39;s or upper 50%26#39;s. It can be especially chilly around the lake at Epcot waiting for Illuminations (you%26#39;ll be happy for the heat from the fire barge).

It%26#39;s the dry season then, so you won%26#39;t see rain every day like you do in the summer. However, you may have a rainy day or two if we get any weather fronts coming through. With the El Nino setup in the Pacific, we%26#39;re expected to have a wetter than normal winter with the possiblity of severe storms. The last time we had this setup, we did have one weekend in February with very severe storms and tornados. It was nothing like when the hurricanes came through, but it%26#39;s something to keep in mind. On the plus side, you won%26#39;t have to deal with the humidity of the summer, or waiting in line in the heat.

Hi,would echo what everyone else has said.We went 1st%26amp;2nd week Feb in 2005 and going again same time 2007 flying out 1st returning 16th.(Family of 5).

Needed fleece in the morning as we were at the parks when they opened and again in the evenings.Minimal queues until our final day which was the start of Presidents Day weekend.

Stayed in a villa so ensured we had pool heat. All in all,for me a great time to go.
