Does anyone know if this is a decent place to stay in Siesta Key?
bianco sandsyes it is nice..if u can get in :-)
i still prefer banana bay club though!
bianco sandsIt sure didn%26#39;t look like the greatest place last year when we were in Siesta. More like a smallish 1950%26#39;s era motel, way down at the very end of Crescent Beach and 1/2 mile walk up the road to the beach...
We have stayed there 3 times now, and never been let down. The place is friendly and quiet, with apartments well looked after.
Now under new ownership, so hope it will be just as friendly, as we%26#39;ve just booked to go back again this year !
Just got back from Bianco Sands. I am sorry to report that the property has not lived up to previous experiences.
Now under new ownership, the units are not as clean as we have been used to on previous visits. We always got a warm welcome from the previous owners, Rosemary and Paul. Now the property is feeling a bit tired and needs money spending. For the money, it still isn%26#39;t bad, but there are lots of new apartments being built in the area, so I would suggest looking elsewhere. This was our 4th visit, but we won%26#39;t be going back in a hurry.
Bianco Sands is more like a couple of hundred yards from the beach as opposed to half a mile. It is on Point of Rocks, but closer to Midnight Pass than the beach (still, a short stroll in my books). It does have that ';1950s charm';, if that is preferable to you over the tall condominiums. For my money, I would book a larger unit along the same area (i.e. Point of Rocks or Crescent Street, the next street due south). There are many available. One local resident told me that only 4 units on Crescent Street were occupied by full-time residents, so there is plenty to choose from.
