Keys in January 12-16..Please help thank you
January has the coldest *average* water temps in Key West but only by 1 degree...

The various sunset sail and snorkeling boats go out approx. 360 days a year and it has always seemed to me that once in, the water alwsys feels warm. This holds true for all the ';other stuff;'; para-sailing, wave-runners, kayaks, etc. And the bars and resteraunts and museums are almost always open.

Went snorkeling on New Year%26#39;s Day once. Being from our side of the globe, it will take a lot more then ';below 75 degrees'; to keep you out of the water. It%26#39;s 39 dgrees right now, with snow coming...
Don%26#39;t sweat it, sweetie, a cold day there is a GREAT day up here.

While winter diving and snorkling is not considered to be the very best (winter winds push the water around causing less then perfect visibility) BUT, it will undoubtedly be a better experience than diving in Lake Michigan!
You can generally expect 10 - 20 foot vis. Certainly good enough to see the bottom on most snorkling trips. The water temps are a huge concern. Most anyone living above the Mason-Dixon line have a little bit of anti-freeze in their blood!
