advice on choosing a fishing charter

We are staying at the Seraton Key largo and would like to go on a fishing charter. Is there a good one for a reasonable price?

We will be in Key Largo early March, and we also have the same problem. My husband is also looking to go on a fishing charter, though they all seem quite pricey - around the 900 dollar mark for a full day, especially when he will be going alone. Just to add onto this question, does anyone know of companies that do split charters? The only one we have found is Bud and Mary%26#39;s.

I stayed at the Sheriton last year when it was the Westin. Very nice place with a nice little beach, docks %26amp; a great nature trail. We did a half day fishing charter (as we did not have lots of time) with Sailers Choice at mile marker 100. There%26#39;s a parking lot there %26amp; several scuba, snorkel %26amp; fishing charters. We liked this place for the convenience, where we could schedule/book everything all at once on our arrival. Good price of $35 included rods, reels, bait %26amp; license %26amp; a great crew for the 1/2 day. The only bad thing was when the day we%26#39;d booked came, it was windy, rainy weather. We went anyway and had a good time. It was wet and the seas were rolling. Not too many fish caught due to the weather front. But still fun. You%26#39;d be better off to wait, check weather %26amp; book the charter the day before or day of. Just go early enough to get a seat %26amp; know that week ends are more busy with people coming down from Miami (%26amp; north FL). Be sure to take a lunch/snacks %26amp; drinks.

Enjoy!

Hi, was the boat you went out on with that $35 charter a lot of people? A few people? The price seems extraordinarily inexpensive for a half day trip...

Thanks, Scott

Sorry for the delayed reply. I haven%26#39;t been on this forem for a while. There were about 12 people on the boat that day, probably due to the poor weather report. I%26#39;ve seen it busier on nice days, but not packed. It%26#39;s still inexpensive %26amp; fun! The web site is:
