Help!
We are a British family living in Arkansas (don%26#39;t ask!) and want to go to Florida for Spring Break (24th-31st March 07) and stay on the Gulf Coast.....Naples looks like the sort of place we would like to stay, but we don%26#39;t know where abouts....we will probably rent a VRBO property, but do we go for North, East or West...or Bonita...or Sanibel...or as far as Marco Island? Our priorities are...
1) Close to restaurants (walking ideal)
2) Not too busy (although we accept March is busy)
3) Would drive to a Beach
4) Shopping within access (Driving again)
5) Things to do for kids (We have 6 and 10 year old daughters)
Which area would best suit the bill?
Many thanks in advance

Where to stay on Florida Gulf Coast?
I have the place for you! It is on the Gulf Coast north of Naples, close to beaches and golf and has fun stuff for your daughters. (we have 2 daughters ourselves).
Check out Rotonda West-www.ourrotondavilla.com this website has a 7 day itinerary for ideas. Also, pureflorida.com
We have traveled all over Florida and discovered this beautiful, not too busy area about 3 years ago. We fell in love and our daughters did too!
Good Luck
Where to stay on Florida Gulf Coast?
Thanks happinessa - I%26#39;ll certainly check it out....
No matter where you stay in Naples you would have to drive to any attractions like the zoo, the conservancy, swamp buggy riding or the new water park so you%26#39;ll be fine pretty much anywhere in Naples, although I wouldn%26#39;t venture too far east or north to keep within the heart of the area.
As for walking to restaurants, your best bet is to stay near the downtown area then. You%26#39;ll have more places to eat in one place then.
Sorry but Naples is VERY BUSY in March but only traffic is affected by this. Everything else is is OK. At least to me. I live in New York most of the year so nothing is busy in comparison.
Enjoy your trip wherever you decide to stay!
