You know, when Sliders was renovated and reopened a few years back we wanted so much for it to be good since it%26#39;s in such a great location with such potential. They did a nice job on the renovation. We went and took visitors 4 times over about a year period and, I%26#39;m truly sorry to say, it got worse every time--every aspect, food, service, etc. Hate to give anyone a bad review but......

I am afraid I would have to agree with Tbone, the foos really isn that good but I also think that you should try it out just for the location alone, it is right on the beach and is really cool. Just go for happy hour and have drinks and an appetizer. We always stop in when we are there just to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Ooh, thanks guys......as I really enjoy cooking we will be eating at our rental most nights, but did want to go out one night for a special dinner.......guess we will start with a drink at Sliders and then go where ?? for a nice seafood dinner ?

Mombear, there are several choices, Beech Street Grill, Bretts Waterway, they are pretty nice, a little overpriced in my opinion. We especially like O%26#39;Kanes Irish Pub, it isnt fine dining but the food is wonderful, my favorite is the Shepard Pie, My husband likes their fish and chips and they are reasonably priced but again, it is more of a pub type atmosphere.

Try the Surf as an on the beach alternative to Slider%26#39;s, particularly for lunch.

Avoid it if you are hungry. Yes, the location is wonderful, but even getting waited on for a drink can be a challenge. I was there last week end- waited ten minutes for a hostess to seat me at a dirty table, then %26#39;forgot%26#39; and sat another party there. menawhile, we were given the cold treatment at the bar and waited nearly 15 minutes for a difficult order of bottled beers!
