Hi. I will be staying in St. Augustine from Oct. 20-23 for a mini vacation with a friend. Want to know what you enjoyed the most. We especially need suggestions for history sites/tours and good dining experiences. Two women. 40-something. Thanks!
Need suggestions for 3-night stay
Hey Lilly08; Sometimes I think people don%26#39;t answer one’s inquiry because these questions are asked all the time and they get tired of repeating them. Please take a scroll down the main page of forums here for some help with your inquiries.
I copied and pasted from several previous forums (not all my info, many of the regulars have supplied this info too)– but it is info I do agree with or I wouldn’t print it. The titles are:
OntheRoad-Restaurant Info
And:
OntheRoad: Attractions, things to do
If you then have any specific questions regarding any of these, write again. There should be more than enuf for your three day trip. You’re gonna love it here! I travel the globe, but I always enjoy
returning to my home here in the Olde City! Glad to help.
Need suggestions for 3-night stay
Hi Lilly, definately check out Mahoney%26#39;s list, he is a local and it usually right on with his suggestions and reviews. However, he is a true B%26amp;B guy and I too enjoy the B%26amp;B experience and have stayed at several over the years in St. Augustine but we found a new place to us this past May that we just loved, it%26#39;s the St. George Inn, it isnt a B%26amp;B becasue it isnt in an authentic old building but it looks like it anyway and it is in the perfect location. We like being in the heart of everything such as when we go to Key West we like staying as close to Duval and the action as we can. That being sad, we loved the Inn and will return, check out the Trip Advisor reviews for them and you will get more a feel for it. Also, our favorite place this year was Sangria, a really savy little place off of St. George and I had the best Mojito I ever had and it was great for people watching, you have to stop in there. You also need to check out Denoel french pastry shop on Charlotte St, the best chocolate eclair EVER, it has been around forever and the lady that owns the shop is just lovely. I hop you have fun and October is a great time to visit.
