I know key west has alot of dining options, but In your opinion who has the best dinner under $20.
vote for best dinner under $20
If you like Cuban food try El Siboney. I plan or trying it later this week when I%26#39;m in KW. Everybody raves about it and I would be surprised if it were more than $20. Then again I haven%26#39;t eaten ther yet so who knows.
I%26#39;ll get back to you later in the week after I%26#39;ve eaten there.

It%26#39;s not technically in KW, but Babalu%26#39;s in Big Coppitt is the best deal around. If you have a car, I highly recommend making the drive (very short) up there. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is AMAZING!! It%26#39;s got a mix of southern-style food, Keys food and a smattering of other things. Huge portions, great happy hour beer specials too. It%26#39;s closed Mondays and Sundays though, fyi. It%26#39;s our new favorite eatsing spot.
I%26#39;m almost sure of this and I%26#39;m going to check in 6 weeks!. For $20.00 you can go to B.O.%26#39;s Fishwagon and get the large order of Fish %26amp; Chips and two Coronas and dump the change from the twenty in the tip jar.
Pjk
- El Siboney - great Cuban food, huge portions.
- Half Shell Raw Bar - Shrimp or fish and chips.
- Origami - nice variety of sushi, tempura etc.
Or you could do three dozen oysters and two pitchers of beer at Crabby Dicks.... not really ';dinner';, but darned tasty.
Stone crab claws and mahi fish fingers at fogerty%26#39;s. It will feed two people for under 20. With the money you saved on the the second you can get a least one round of frozen drinks from flying monkey... yummy!
oh, the pan seared fish sandwich at Conch repbulic. Can get two sandwichs for under 20. or sandwich and conch fritters for the really hungry. or sub the fritters for beers. your choice.
The Meteor Smokehouse on Southard Street (right next to the Green Parrot) has lots of barbecue for under 20 bucks.
Their grilled meatloaf dinner is fantastic.
Mangia Mangia at Southard %26amp; Margaret. Been meaning to get there for several trips but never made it. Finally did last week and it was awesome. Had rigatoni w/jumbo shrimp for $15, my wife loved her chicken dish that was even less expensive. Great atmosphere, outdoor or indoor dining area and great service, too.
El Siboney should definitely be a place to go. Mainly locals. 4 of us went, 1 pitcher of homemade sangria, 4 meals and an appetizer all for only $58 plus tip....huge portions, incredible food. Highly recommend the tamale and roast pork....absolutely awesome and any trip back would include a dinner there.
Big John%26#39;s across from the Conch Republic Seafood - Great pizza, stromboli%26#39;s etc.
Shanna Key on the corners of Bertha and Flagler - Great, authentic Irish food
Turtle Kraal - On the wharf, great seafood
Schooner Wharf Bar - A great Mahi-Mahi melt (grilled, blackened or fried)
Chico%26#39;s Cantina - Stock Island, Mexican!
Hog Fish Bar %26amp; Grill - Downtown Stock Island. Old Key West! - Freshest seafood available, right off the boats moored twenty feet away.
That%26#39;s a few of my favorites that would run under $20.00/meal w/drink
