Only one day...which Disney Park?

My husband and I are going to be in Orlando next week for a business trip. We fly in late Monday evening and fly out Thursday night. Tuesday is our only day to ';play'; before I have to be in meetings for the next day or so. I am also 6.5 months pregnant. If you were in our situation, which park would you visit on Tuesday and why? Thanks in advance for all your suggestions!

Only one day...which Disney Park?

i vote for either the Magic Kingdom or Epcot. you could do most of the attractions at these except for perhaps Test Track and Space Mountain.......read the attractions at both and see which one appeals to you more: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/index

Only one day...which Disney Park?

My family and I have been to Disney World twice and in my opinion if you only have one day and are pregnant which means you won%26#39;t be riding any rides, I would go with Epcot. It is a lake that you walk around and there are different countries represented every few feet with their types of buildings, food, souvenirs, etc. When we were there the people who worked in each country were originally from there or their ancestors were from there. At night they have a great light show over the lake. Very beautiful. Honestly, though, any park that you decide to visit in Disney World is great and you won%26#39;t be disappointed.

I%26#39;ve got to also recommend Epcot for your situation.

Epcot only has about two rides (Mission Space and Test Track) which you might miss, but I think you could do all the others. Plus, there%26#39;s so much variety there with a ';two parks in one'; layout.

I%26#39;m going to join the chorus in recommending Epcot. It is a great ';couples'; park. There aren%26#39;t a lot of thrill rides that will exclude you. Soarin%26#39; will be fine. Epcot%26#39;s World Showcase is a wonderful place to stroll around and you can enjoy all of the entertainment. Illuminations is a wonderful fireworks show and Epcot is ';the'; food park.

You can get an idea of the available entertainment and the schedule at http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

Some acts I particularly enjoy:

Jammitors - ';Stomp'; style percussion act.

Off Kilter (Canada pavilion) - Celtic infused rock

British Invasion (UK pavilion) - Beattles style - more fun after dark.

World Showcase Players (UK %26amp; Italy pavilions) - silly skits with a sort of Monty Python vibe.

Serveur Amusant (France pavilion) - comedic balancing act.

MoRockin (Morocco pavilion) - Middle Eastern infused Pop

Matsuriza (Japan pavilion) - Traditional Taiko drummers

Miyuki (Japanese pavilion) - Candy artist

Dragon Legend Acrobats (China pavilion) - child acrobats.

Little Richard will be performing at Epcot @ 5:45pm, 7:00pm, %26amp; 8:15pm, when you are there.

Thank you for all your quick responses! I thought Epcot would be the best choice for us. How early should we get there in the morning?

I travelled to disney last year at 8 months pregnant and visited Magic Kingdom one day and Animal Kingdom the other, but I also had a 2 year old. I went on most rides at both parks. I stayed away from any roller coasters, mostly because of my 2 year old. If you%26#39;ve never been, I would definitely go to magic kingdom because there are alot of rides you can still go on pregnant (as long as you%26#39;re having no complications). If you like animals, then I would definitely go to animal kingdom. There is alot to see and the show in the big tree is a must! I even went on the kilimanjaro safari ride, but it was a bit bumpy. If you like educational stuff, then Epcot is great and has a lot of tame rides. It also has the most walking required, especially to visit the circle of nations. I definitely would not bother with MGM. There best rides are ones that you shouldn%26#39;t go on. I hope this helps, and have fun!

I%26#39;m sticking with the Epcot recommendation but you actually could do Disney-MGM Studios - just avoid Rockin%26#39; Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror, %26amp; Star Tours. You can ride the Great Movie ride without problem. I don%26#39;t think they would exclude you for the Backlot Tour.

There are some good shows:

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular

Lights, Motors, Action

Beauty and the Beast Live

They Voyage of the LIttle Mermaid %26amp; Playhouse Disney Live On Stage will be too juvenile for you, unless you%26#39;re a Little Mermaid fan. But you might enjoy Muppet 3-D.

The evening show, ';Fantasmic'; , is quite good.

Epcot has a somewhat staggered opening time, with Future World opening at 9:00 AM, while World Showcase doesn%26#39;t open until 11:00 AM.

Depending on when you%26#39;ll be there, it is usually wise to get as early as start as you can and be at the park at the 9:00 AM opening time. You%26#39;ll most likely need most of the day to get through all sections of Epcot.

Some attractions in Future World close at 7:00 PM, but most of the major ones stay open until 9:00 PM. All of World Showcase stays open until 9:00 PM.

If you are planning to stay for fireworks at World Showcase (strongly suggest you do) then I would suggest you do not rush to Epcot too early as you will be on your feet a lot and I know how tired you can get at 6months pregnant.

Having said that there a loads of places you can stop for referesments and a rest and if you feel like it you could exit via back entrace at World Showcase and take a break at the boardwalk. Lots of nice places to eat and some shops etc.

I dont think it will be mega busy the day you go and as Little Richard is performing in evening I would say definately stay for that.

Hope you have a wonderful time.

I took some video of a couple of the acts at Epcot. If anyone is interested, you%26#39;re welcome to look at them. We%26#39;ve put them on the site but haven%26#39;t put them on the main menu because we haven%26#39;t had a chance to make a nice looking page for them yet so forgive the barebones lay-out. They%26#39;re not professional videos. You might be interested in:

Miyuki / Candylady %26amp; Jammitors from Epcot%26#39;s Japan pavilion

There are a couple of others from the Animal Kingdom that might interest some: G-Force, Divine. and Smear, Splat %26amp; Dip The tamtams are not the tamtams at all - they are actually the Kenyan acrobats that no longer perform at the Animal Kingdom.
