DisneyWorld in December

My family has been to DisneyWorld many times, but we are considering a trip at Christmas time this year. I hear it is beautiful that time of year. Is it really crowded at that time of year? We have always traveled there in the summer.

DisneyWorld in December

we%26#39;re going the first week of december, which is a good time to go as you get the Christmas decorations and cooler weather.....but i%26#39;ve heard that the week before Christmas through the week after New Years is a very crowded time to go.....but if you are used to the summer crowds, then no biggie.

DisneyWorld in December

If you can avoid the days right before Christmas and the days between it and New Years, you%26#39;ll not have too bad a time with crowds. If you have to go between the two holidays, get ready for masses of people (I saw a stat of 90,000 per day).

I wish we could go during the first week of December but with kids in school it is difficult. I guess the earlier you can leave before Xmas the better with crowds, like maybe around the 15th. Thanks guys. How about weather, is it really cold in December? I would assume similar to Texas?

Have you been to Disney for July 4th? If you have, imagine an entire week of July 4th, and that pretty much covers it. However, since you have been to Disney many times, and it sounds like you would probably come again, I would say go for it. The weather will be a big improvement over what you have experienced in the summer. You may not get on as many rides as you%26#39;re used to, but the holiday shows and parades will more than make up for what you miss. The busiest days will be from the Sunday before Christmas through New Year%26#39;s Eve. Once New Year%26#39;s Day arrives, the crowds will start to decrease again.

Hello Texas,

We%26#39;ve had many Christmas visits to Disney and love them. Because you%26#39;ve been to Disney many times already it%26#39;s a plus traveling during this peak period time. It is absolutely necessary you make all your dining reservations for Christmas visits otherwise you won%26#39;t be able to sit and enjoy any table service meals. Many of the times are probably already taken. We love the Candlelight Processional dinner package at Epcot and the Osborne Spectacle of lights at MGM studios! If your staying on Disney property many of the resorts are probably already booked so I would begin looking and booking now!

Can you make dinner reservations online?

Yes, I know that even in the summer months we have had to reserve for dinner well in advance. I am thinking the week before Xmas might not be so bad. Come in on a Monday and leave at the end of the week. I am assuming the Xmas/new year%26#39;s crowd will start coming in right after that. (I hope). I am thinking it will be beter to do that as opposed to going in on a Friday? Any thoughts? And thanks to all of you who have responded, this is a great website. So much to learn from so many who have traveled.

will be there on dez 18th or 19...

is it usually crowded already?

I麓m there in summer every year. haven麓t been in winter yet!

The week prior to Christmas is a much better time to visit Disney. The crowds will be about half of what they are during the holiday week, but you still get the benefit of the holiday decorations, shows, and activities. It%26#39;s the best of both (plus you still have Christmas to look forward to when you get home, instead of a big post-vacation let down!).

yeaaaaaah....

This makes sense :-))

Thanks Fla!
