Hi, does anyone know the closest liquior store to the Sheraton airport hotel? Cruising the next day and need to make a wine run. Thanks
liquior store near sheraton airport hotel?
Do you happen to be driving yourselves to the Port? The 17th Street Causeway , where one of the Port Evergaldes entrances is located , has several wine and liquor ';superstores';. One is called Total Wine. There is also a Inlet wine and liquor store , that is much smaller and routinely runs ads underselling competitors. They are either a right turn ( Total Wine) or a left turn ( Inlet) onto Cordova Road , which is at the traffic light by Embassy Suites. There is another Port entrance closer to you, off Federal Highway at 24 th, but I can%26#39;t think of a liquor store there- though ther may be a Walgreens with an attached liquor store, which some have.
If you don%26#39;t have your own car, you would be looking for something near Griffin Rod and I-95, where your hotel is located. I%26#39;m not really familiar with that area , which is technically near smaller towns called either Dania Beach or Hollywood. I%26#39;%26#39;ll do a search and see what is in that area, if anything.

Thought I%26#39;d better add a cuation that liquor cannot be sold in FL on Sunday am- so you couldn%26#39;t purchase before noon on Sunday. The Publix supermarket chain has wonderful selections of a great variety of wine, so if you can spot one of those in your travels....
So far, I haven%26#39;t spotted anything in my searching right near the Sheraton, but I%26#39;ll keep searching...
Thanks Lulutoo, we are flying in to FLL the night befor we cruise. We are a group of 35 flying in for my daughters wedding on RCC. I think there will be alot of us looking for a liquior store. Your suggestions would be great. Thank you
Shari- How soon is this happening? I am not sure, but there are two hotels across from each other on Griffen and it is sort of like a joke that they keep changing franchises, like Zsa Zsa changes spouses. I am not sure your Sheraton is still a Sheraton- I know one that used to be a Hilton is now a Wyndham - or at least it was last time I looked. The Sheraton used to be across the street from it , but seems no longer listed on the Sheraton website- it may now be something else ( still honoring old reservations I%26#39;m sure). We fly out to San Franciso Thursday-Tuesday and as I am close to them on the way to the airport, I%26#39;ll try to take a look , as well as scope out possible wine runs- if that won%26#39;t be too late..
We will be arriving in Fort lauderdale October 27. Do you think it might be better to pack some ( a bottle of wine wrapped in bubble wrap and zip lock) in our luggage ( checked bag ) before we leave Chicago? You are wonderful, thanks.
I wouldn%26#39;t bring any with you unless you absolutely have no way of getting some once you%26#39;re here. I%26#39;ll try to check it out on my way to the airport and let you know when I get back Oct. 4. We park in the long term lot on the other end of Griffen Rd., which is not an area with shops, but I%26#39;ll check out the area closest to the hotels- the two that are there, frequently used for cruise customers, are across the street from one another. If you decide to dine out instead of in the hotel, you could head up to 17th Street Causeway- besides the liquor stores there are restaurants in all price ranges- Maybe a $10-$15 taxi ride, I%26#39;m guessing , which four can share - and probably worth it- the hotel restaurants aren%26#39;t great.
Hi,
I would suggust you purchase your wine at Publix. There is a store less than 2 miles west of the Sheraton. I did a search on mapquest and it is about 1.7 miles west to be exact. Publix number is 954-961-0717, 1302 Griffin Road, Dania, FL.
Perhaps you could ask the hotel staff if the shuttle would be kind enough to give you a ride, or take a taxi. Don%26#39;t forget the cork screw!!!!! Have fun.
Thanks Raefox...you really think the shuttle service would do that? There is probably 10 people who would need to go. Guess it cant hurt to ask.....Thanks
