I leave for Orlando (I-Drive) on Friday week (2 Feb) and plan to celebrate our wedding anniversary on the Saturday evening (3 Feb). It%26#39;s not a special anniversary (27 years) but I would like to take my wife somewhere nice.
Any suggestions? Are there nice restaurants you would recommend? What about live shows?
I%26#39;m not looking to spend lots of money but something nice and/or unusual would be good.
Thanks in anticipation.
Bobby
What would you recommend for an anniversary?
hi bobby chilli.s is nice not too expensive.. live shows tend to be a cattle run....
What would you recommend for an anniversary?
In this day %26amp; age, 27 years is very special! (Every year is special) Congratulations! Do you have a car? What types of things interest you? There%26#39;s a lot to chose from. While you%26#39;re waiting for replys, you could also check out the reviews on TA, which includes restaurants %26amp; shows.
On (I-Drive) there are many nice places to eat, depending upon your tastes and how much you want to spend on a meal. My own preferences turn to the nice sophisticated Everglades Restaurant at 9840 International Drive actually in the The Rosen Centre Hotel opens 530pm-Reservations are recommended. Call 407.996.2385.
Otherwise also conveniently located is Texas De Brazil at 5259 International Drive- Reservations recommended Call 407.355.0355 I just happen to live in Orlando, Florida for the past almost ten years. I am in advertising for businesses here in the Orlando Florida metro area. These are fine dining restaurants however neither has entertainment as most of those are much more costly from my experience and the ones I have mentioned in my opinion are charming, unique and romantic. You will be in a great area for entertainment and attractions. If you decide to take in something of that nature. A show on I Drive is located at Dolly Parton%26#39;s Stampede, that also includes a dinner. Quite entertaining, however for an anniversary I personally wouldn%26#39;t. Please remember, the traffic here is bad almost any day of the week and attractions are not as packed as they are during the summer. Orlando is rated as the #1 ranked vacation destination in the world. Our suggestion is to walk to surrounding activities nearby or take a cab if necessary to attractions farther out. Another option is renting a car if you decide to take a day trip, otherwise try to avoid driving. We think Orlando offers visitors great vacation values, for the family. If you are looking for the Disney or Universal experience it is the ONLY place to come. No matter where you decide to go we wish you a enjoyable time and a happy anniversary. We encourage you to visit local portals to locate local businesses!
the last post should not be on here soliciting for business so i will be reporting to t.a pronto.
while ';mr portal'; may have been pushing for more than you were asking, he is correct about Texas de Brazil. It is a wonderful restaurant and my husband and I absolutely love it. It%26#39;s already on our ';must do'; for dinner when we arrive in May. Be sure to visit their website, and sign up for their email club. They%26#39;ll send you coupons for discounts, one of which is an ';anniversary'; discount. That%26#39;s what we use when we go in May. Also, they%26#39;ve given us complimentary champagne on our previous anniversaries.
Check it out.... and congrats and best wishes for many more happy years.
Tony7- What does that mean ';Visit local portal';? Sounds like space travel or something. If you think he%26#39;s bad, at least he gave helpful advice. Earlier today I reported someone selling life insurance!
Not against helpful advice.
But that portal is pretty nasty. Unfinished, clearly aimed at leeching money from local businesses for small ads, award stickers (for what, I%26#39;m not sure), more feeds than substance, etc etc.
There are plenty of sites already giving out this sort of information; TA being a good example.
Bobby - didn%26#39;t you pitch this question just recently?
I did, Chinners, but I%26#39;ve been a bit underwhelmed with the response (YourHomeTownPortal was the most helpful!). And I go next week so I%26#39;m running out of time.
Texas de Brazil sounds interesting and I%26#39;ll check that out. But any other ideas would be appreciated!
Cheers from freezing Scotland.
Bobby
I think it may come down to budget. And places like Alberts and Victoria will prob be booked by now.
Have you considered a hot air balloon ride?
Oh, I forgot to mention, my wife is a vegetarian. :-o
