Mainsail?

I get so lost in these forums.....anyways, can anyone tell me about Mainsail....and what really cool attractions are near by... will I be close to the jetties for snorkeling? Thanks for all responses!

Many people ask about ';nearby attractions';. Many are mentioned within this forum and a good start is the Destin Attractions listed on the left side of this website.

Since you do need a car to get around the Destin area, ALL the attractions are pretty much within a 30-minute drive. After all, you%26#39;re on vacation - you can get to all the attractions, not just limit yourself to what someone else considers ';nearby';.

And we%26#39;ll be there the week before you.

well I am unfamiliar to Destin and it seems to be a lot bigger then I thought. I will be driving so that will not be a problem....I can%26#39;t wait..

I would love to meet new people...females or males, couples anyone up to having a good time!....someone to join up and meet from different areas...I will be traveling with family and do not get out of Texas much. Single guys would be merely a plus.

We went to Destin for the 1st time last March and are returning this April. We flew down from WI and my sister flew in from AR. We rented condos side by side at the Mainsail. It is a gated property at the east end of the Scenic Drive. There are four buildings two which are right on the beach and the other two right behind them. We were in the back, I would rather be in front, but it wasn%26#39;t that bad because we rented the same places again this year. They were replacing one of the two pools last year and it should be done by now. We rented our condos off of vrbo.

The beach is great and they put out chairs and umbrellas. Very good walking in either direction and wonderful sunsets. Terrific casual and fine dining along the Scenic Drive. You%26#39;ll need a car and there is every kind of water sport available. The Silver Sands Outlet Mall is a couple blocks away and worth a look.

Looked to me like it was the husbands after you!!!

But don%26#39;t worry about them. They really seem to be great guys and harmless enough, as gulfman said. It is just fun to give them grief every now and then.
