Partying over Super Bowl w/end - HELP !!

Hi,

Me and a friend will be down in South Beach for Thurs %26amp; Friday night of Super Bowl weekend. Being from London we%26#39;re looking forward to sampling the big game atmosphere but I%26#39;m sure it will be even more difficult to get past those notorious velvet ropes..

Can you suggest some hot spots, which are a) not $600 ticket playboy parties and b) don%26#39;t require you to rock up with 4 models to get in...?

Any tips from you experts out there would be much appreciated..

Thanks!

EVERYTHING will be busy crazy Superbowl weekend - before and after too! Please be certain you know which teams are playiing and that Americans think ';football'; is different than ';soccer.'; By the way - we%26#39;re getting Beckham so we will all find out what you%26#39;ve been so passionate about all these years... (it%26#39;s his eyes - right?)

You will not need huge funds nor giant boobies to find fun (though I am sure that%26#39;ll help). Honestly - giant boobies will be everywhere once you arrive, so remain as calm as possible (they%26#39;re not real, they%26#39;re floatation devices).

On South Beach - hit the Clevelander, Automatic Slims, Lucky Strike, Playwright Irish Pub, Purdy Lounge, Big Pink, Liberty Grill, Ted%26#39;s Hideaway... any place with a television and a keg of beer will be busy.

Have you already got a hotel???

Hey AG!

Thanks for all the tips. Visited South Beach a couple of times so I%26#39;ve been to a few of the places you mentioned. Looking forward to those %26#39;flotation devices%26#39;.

We%26#39;re staying at the Clay on Espanola - all that was left due to our timing! Reckon we%26#39;ll support the Bears - 21 long yrs! As for Beckham, you are welcome to him! He%26#39;s much more useful as eye candy than he is at playing football....so, enjoy!

Is there anything wrong with eye candy? Becks will do very well in LA...

Back to you -

The Clay on Espanola will be great - it%26#39;s near everything, not expensive and easy to find after too many beers.

Near the Clay - actually due east toward the ocean - Lost Weekend bar will be a great spot for you. It%26#39;s got nice people, no posh attitude and lots of beer. South on Collins to 14th is Mac%26#39;s Club Deuce, a bar opened all night that%26#39;s sort of everyone%26#39;s last stop. On the north side of the street there is La Sandwicherie - a stand up shop that%26#39;ll make you a delicious sammie day or night. Next door on 14th is a cool Mexican place too. These are all between Collins and Washington on 14th Street. On 14 and Ocean, eat at the Front Porch for breakfast or all day long. Next door is Finnegans Irish Pub. The north part of Ocean is quieter and has some good places to check out...

If you leave the Clay and walk to Washington and turn left (north), there is a hot dog shop called Dogma at 15th that%26#39;s fun, cheap and delicious. As you are my new best friends from London, I will now put a name on TripAdvisor I%26#39;ve never posted (sometimes the locals beg me to withhold places from the internet so we can still get in...)

Promise not to tell anyone?

OK.

The BoomBoomRoom on 16th west of Washington is great.

Please don%26#39;t tell anyone.

Cheers...

Thanks again AG!

You are surely the oracle of knowledge on all things Miami. We%26#39;ll definitely take up some of your suggestions, especially the little secret one. I feel honoured, my lips are sealed !

If you happen to bump into two handsome English guys over that weekend, it probably wont be us, but say hi to them anyway! :)

Cheers
