O.k here is our plans so far. We are flying into Tampa Bay (it is what is available). We are going to be there for a week in early November.
We are planning on one day at Disney( our daughter is only 2 1/2), one day at Sea World and one day at Busch Gardens.
What I would really like is a condo/house rental as we would be able to cook some of our own meals and we would have more room. Travelling with Grandparents as well !
I want to be able to relax by a nice pool/beach as an option. We also love the mini golf. We stayed in the Indian Shores area last time we were there but think it might be a bit out of the way this time.
So, any suggestions? Are we best to split our time between Orlando and the Gulf coast area or is there a mid point that would not require driving for 2 hours to get somewhere?
Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I would look into renting a Timeshare for the week. We own at Orange Lake, and they have a World class putt-putt golf course there. If you are interested in the Timeshare rental option, whether it be Orange Lake or any other Resort, let me know, and I will give you some sites to check for rentals.

I would try to split the week between the 2 areas rather than driving between the 2. You%26#39;ll end up racking up lots of miles on a rental vehicle which might end up being costly. I don%26#39;t think I would try for a timeshare rental....I%26#39;ve just heard so many bad things about them but if you were intrested, you could do a search in this forum (look near the top of the posting, there is a little bar that should have ';Search in Orlando Forum'; and then another empty bar that you can input any topic).
I would start out the week in Orlando and there are many hotels in the area that have 2 bedroom suites and a small kitchen as well that would suit your needs. Do your 2 days here and then head back to the Tampa area to finish your week. Again, I would find a hotel that has small kitchenettes available.
