Holy Cow!

Only 49 deg. in Orlando right now. Oh well still 33 deg. warmer than where I am.

Holy Cow!

Its a bit of a nice change.

I hope no Indians read this post for your sake.

I almost forgot, but did finally remember to mention OL in the earlier golf resort topic. By the way, what do you think of the golf courses at OL? Have you played them? Do you play golf?

Holy Cow!

Yes, it is 49 degrees. What a lousy morning, but the sun is trying to peek out now. We may hit 60 if the sun continues. It poured rain all last night and all morning long. The car lines to get the kids to school were totally crazy. Should start to get nicer after today. Back to the 60%26#39;s and 70%26#39;s.

I didn%26#39;t know it got that cold in FL!

Have not played them Eddie, as last year was my first year there and was having problems with my shoulder which turned out to be a torn rotator cuff. They look beautiful and well maintained. After surgery in mid-june, my doctor has cleared me to play when I go down in feb. but can';t take any more than 1/2 to 3/4 swing, and have to hit all shots off a tee. I guess taking a big divot and stopping cold would still not be to good for it yet.

Hey, it actually snowed in Orlando back around Thanksgiving.

El Nino is making it a very strange Florida winter this year.

Oh by the way Eddie, got 12+ inches of snow overnight at my house, so I guess I got some snowblowing to when I get home. Supposed to get at least that much again tonight. Now you can see why I look so forward to my winterbreak in your sunshine state.

Living in rural northern Aberdeenshire, I%26#39;ll paraphrase Monty Python:

';49 deg? We used to DREAM of 49 deg';...

P.S. Does El Nino have any effect on Summer? Does it become more unsettled, or hotter, or cooler, from experience?

According to the news, the northeast is going to be below 0 wind chill factor tomorrow. Makes our 49 seem toasty. I can%26#39;t complain to my northern relatives.

Windchill is already down to 4 deg.

Those are Wimbledon temperatures.

Ooh Chinners and me and bssd relaxing by the pool - stripped off in our speedos. Drinks in one hands and flip flops in the other.

I can visualise it so clearly.

Eddie and Florida Mum huddled up inside by the fire with their gloves and mufflers on looking through the frosted window.

What it is to be from Northern climes - 49degrees is balmy.
