In 2003 I requested a room at the Carribean Beach that was closest to the first bus stop, so we overlooked the parking.
This time around I want a scenic, peaceful quiet room or the closest thing too it. Can you suggest a great room.
(It must be the Alligator Bayou)
PS: How many are willing to admit that we do it for ourselves as much as for the kids!!!
Best Room at Port Orleans-Riverside - Alligator Bayou
Building 14 has water views and is the closest to the main building, restaurants, feature pool and first bus stops. If you want waterviews and away from the main areas for quieter room, building 34 overlooks a pond instead of the Sascagoula River and has a bus stop nearby also. It is however a longer walk to the main areas.
I am absolutely willing to admit that I love Disney as much as my daughter!!!
Best Room at Port Orleans-Riverside - Alligator Bayou
Building 15 is right next to building 14 (literally just steps away), so that building would work for you as well. Both 14 and 15 are very, very close to the main building and the bus stop is just steps away too.
We stayed at building #15 in September, and I loved it so much, I requested that same building for our return on Halloween day.
hey kcf, we will also be in por for halloween, arrive late afternoon on the 28th for two whole disney weeks !
Great: I%26#39;ll be there first two weeks in Nov. I%26#39;ll request 14 or 15.
Thanks
Hi Dicko,
We%26#39;re checking into P.O.R. on Halloween Day and staying for three nights. This will be the tail-end of a two-week holiday beginning in Daytona Beach on Oct. 23rd. We%26#39;re staying in Alligator Bayou building #15 again (hopefully) on the ground floor.
Maybe we%26#39;ll run into you there. If not , hope you have a wonderful time.
Hi O%26#39;Reilly,
Hope you have a wonderful stay as well. November is a great time to be at Disney, as long as you can come before Thanksgiving. I think you%26#39;re gonna love P.O.R. You have a wonderful time as well.
I don%26#39;t think building 15 has water views, only courtyard or parking lot. I could be wrong though.
That is correct, building #15 doesn%26#39;t have a water view.
I really didn%26#39;t want to pay extra for it anyway.
Thanks - Kat-cubs-fan. Enjoy your trip as well.
Is there an additional charge for these water view rooms in 14, 15 or 34 and if so are they worth it?
As I said, building #15 doesn%26#39;t really have a water view of any kind, but a water view does cost extra and you don%26#39;t know what kind of view you%26#39;ll have when you ask for it.
When you make reservations for P.O.R., they have to know up front if you want a water view or not as the water view rooms can cost up to $20 more per night.
Now, that doesn%26#39;t mean that if you request a non-water-view room that you%26#39;ll be completely away from any, but you may not be able to see directly out your window.
How about the best rooms in the mansions? What do you recommend for that section? We have a standard room and not a waterfront.
