i want to come down there in march
is this a good time to drive in
will i hit alot of traffic
drivingAs accurate as a long-range weather forecast, there%26#39;s no telling. Typically, trafffic on US-1 varies like any major road/highway. Traffic is predictably heavier on holidays and weekends but the bottom line is, it%26#39;ll be whatever it%26#39;ll be. Drive it, deal with it and make the most of your travels.
drivingNot only what Seabus said, but WHERE you hit traffic will also depend upon time of day, day of week, and week of the month.
WIll you be driving from newyork, or are you looking for a traffic report in Miami, on US 1, . . .
A good rule of thumb is Friday afternoons will be busy towards Key West, Sunday afternoons will be busy towards the mainland.
yes i am driving from ny but i am not worried about that just from mihami
If you take the Turnpike south as far as you can ( to Florida City just south of Miami ) , rather than I -95 , you will have to pay a few dollars in tolls ( Four or maybe five $1 tolls) but well worth it as you avoid all the Miami traffic- which on I-95 can be no fun. We have timed it and usually save about half an hour ( and lots of stress) by using the Turnpike on our annual Fort Lauderdale - Key West trip.
