Babies on Disney rides

I have a list of rides with height restrictions -- only 21 including the water parks. So from that I would assume that we%26#39;d be able to take our baby on all the others. But then I went to a page that explained the baby swap system and it included a list of rides that baby swap was available for. The list was huge and included such dangerous thrill rides as ';It%26#39;s a small world'; and the Jungle Cruise. Does this mean you can%26#39;t take babies on even the floatpasttheanimatronics rides?

We also have a 5 year old. So the ability to baby swap and allow him to go on the ride twice in a row is appealing. But especially for the animatronic slow rides, I want to go as a family and see him as he experiences the ride for the first time.

I%26#39;ve seen infants going on those rides like Small World and Peter Pan with no problem in the past. I think just about all of those ';very tame'; rides wouldn%26#39;t be a problem for a baby. In fact, most babies like the ';colors'; and ';sounds'; in those rides.

Baby Swap is used on many rides, but that doesn%26#39;t necessarily mean its necessary on all of them.

The Baby Swap isn%26#39;t a requirement-it%26#39;s just a convenience for two people traveling together with someone too short to go on the ride. You can certainly take your baby on any ride that doesn%26#39;t have a height requirement-you may not WANT to,but you can if you want to. The Baby Swap is for your convenience not to keep the baby off ';It%26#39;s A Small World.';ON the other hand, why would you want to put a poor innocent baby through that terrible song?

Have fun!

LOL!!

Actually, infants may be the only ones who can actually appreciate the ';Small World'; song, since they are too young to have it ';playing in their head'; the rest of the day.

LOL! Duly noted. And my 5-year old is the type of kid who would keep singing a song just because he knew it was driving us crazy. So for the sake of adult sanity we might have to avoid that one.

Thanks for the advice!

You sound like a wise and experienced parent. the baby would probably enjoy the merry go round,Winnie the Pooh,Peter Pan,maybe the Astro Orbiter-there%26#39;s plenty of stuff, depending on how brave a baby you have. I would also suggest you book a character meal if you haven%26#39;t-we like Chef Mickey%26#39;s which is great for all ages and the pictures you get of your kids with Mickey and Minnie will be treasured for years to come.

But Small World will scar the child for life. Too irritating!
